The Donegal ETB Golf Society is up and running for the 2023-24 season with Elaine Russell as Captain and Myles Sweeney as Vice-Captain.
The first outing took place in Dunfanaghy GC on Saturday, 16th September with a stiff breeze blowing left to right on the front nine. Diligence was needed off the tee with all golfers hitting into the breeze and hoping to avoid the out of bounds down the right side.
Myles Sweeney continued his good form and took the honours on the day with a magnificent score of 41 pts. In 2nd place was Sally Ann Mc Fadden with 38 pts.
3rd place was a very close affair with three golfers on 37 pts. Elaine Russell just edging Éanna Ó Mainín (4th) & Margaret Harvey (5th) on B.O.T.
Aidan Guthrie leads the way in the Magnificent 7 Signature Hole competition on 4 pts, closely followed by eight players on 3 pts.
