A Glenfin man is set to stand trial over a case of assault causing harm.
A book of evidence was served on Gerald Doherty yesterday (Mon).
Doherty, a 55-year-old of Dergroagh, Cloghan, appeared before Letterkenny District Court.
Garda Matthew Burke gave evidence of serving a book of evidence at 11.14am.
Doherty is charged with assault causing harm at Dergroagh, Cloghan on December 14, 2018.
Sergeant Jim Collins told the court that the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has consented for Doherty to be sent forward for trial at the next sitting of Letterkenny Circuit Court, which commences on October 17.
Judge Éiteáin Cunningham made an order returning Doherty for trial. Judge Cunningham made a section 56 order relating to videos of interviews and administered the alibi warning.
Legal aid was granted to solicitor Mr Kieran O’Gorman and one legal counsel was assigned in the case.
